Tour Dates Announced for 2007 CBS47 Dream Home
Concept home project will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County
WATSON CUSTOM HOME BUILDERS – ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FL –
Tour dates for the 2007 CBS47 Dream Home, a showcase home designed and constructed by Watson Custom Home Builders, are scheduled for October 4 th – 21 st at Aberdeen. This year’s Dream Home will be the second time the homebuilder has teamed up with CBS47 and TLConcepts to present the showcase home; the first CBS47 Dream was completed in 2006.
The 2007 CBS47 Dream Home will be a stunning, 3,300-square-foot design located on a premium homesite within the brand new, master-planned community of Aberdeen. The 2007 CBS47 Dream Home will be one of the first of 2,000 homes to be built in this amazing community that is located in Northwest St. Johns County, just west of Durbin Crossing.
The 2007 CBS47 Dream Home will be the subject of a weekly series airing on CBS47 (WTEV). The series of 30- and 60-second vignettes will showcase the construction of this upscale, cutting-edge home with featured spots highlighting the installation of modernistic building products, services and design elements from a select group of participants. Viewers will be able to track the construction progress of the home and see how the various design elements and construction products are installed.
Current trade partners participating in the 2007 CBS47 Dream Home project include: American Import Lighting, Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County, Eagle Pools, First Coast Cabinets, Jenkins Brick Company, Laufen Tile, LP TechShield Radiant Barrier, Panel Tek, Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters, Sherwin Williams, TLConcepts, Watson Custom Home Builders, Window World of Jacksonville, and Woodchuck's Furniture.
Upon completion of the six-month project, the 2007 CBS47 Dream Home will be open to the public for touring and various in-home events. Tour tickets will be sold through participating vendors with all proceeds going directly towards Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County – a non-profit, Big Brothers Big Sisters sponsored agency that offers mentoring programs designed to give children enriching experiences and positive role models.

A traditional community-based program is offered where volunteers and children spend two-three hours a week doing activities they both enjoy. There is also a school-based program that matches volunteers with students at elementary schools and the volunteer visits the child for one hour a week during the school day. The third program is the High School Bigs program, which matches high school students with elementary school students during after-school programs. All of the programs by Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County offer “Little Moments…Big Magic!”
